Manton K Wangshu, Longterok FC’s goal sensation, sat down with NSL Extra Time for an exclusive "A Day in My Life” segment, sharing insights into his journey, daily routine, and aspirations in the Nagaland Super League.
Belonging to the Konyak Naga tribe, Manton completed his studies at Patkai Christian College. Reflecting on his NSL journey, he said:
"I was quite excited about playing in the Nagaland Super League. I got a few calls from other clubs but couldn’t finalize anything. That’s when the Longterok FC owner reached out. I’ve known him since our days in the Dimapur Division League, where we played together. So far, it’s been a great experience."
A Day in Manton’s Life
Manton starts his day with gratitude and goal-setting.
“The first thing I do is thank God for the day and set my goals. After breakfast, we go for a walk and do some stretching. On off days, we practice from 2 PM to 3 PM, then head back to freshen up and relax.”

“The Nagaland government has done a great job in bringing us the NSL. This league can take us to the national and international level.”

Manton encourages aspiring footballers to embrace hard work and resilience:
"To the younger generation, I would say: Keep working hard, overcome failures, and learn to bounce back stronger. Stay disciplined and humble. NSL is a huge opportunity to live your dreams."

"Having so many fans behind you is both pressure and motivation. Hearing them cheer pushes us forward, but we also have to live up to their expectations."

"Today’s win against Barak FC was crucial for securing second place in the league table."
